The Gold Coast’s new Seaway Promenade is nearing completion at The Spit providing locals and guests expansive views alongside the Gold Coast’s spectacular shoreline.
Locals and guests will have the ability to stroll out to the viewing platform on the finish of the seawall and revel in views south alongside town’s shoreline and to the north the scenic seashores of South Stradbroke Island.
Appearing Premier Steven Miles considers “The Seaway Promenade will grow to be one of many Gold Coast’s must-visit locations and enthuses “it’s thrilling to see these new areas coming to life as we work to rework the Spit right into a premium vacation spot.”
The Seaway Promenade, the recently-opened Moondarewa Spit foreshore enhancements and a shared pathway between Sea World and Doug Jennings Park was the results of a $6.84 million funding from the Queensland Authorities.
Appearing Premier Miles added “folks can now benefit from the open areas with loads of spots to absorb the gorgeous views, particularly taking within the sundown at Moondarewa Spit.
“The shared biking and pedestrian pathway from SeaWorld to Doug Jennings Park improves security and entry for folks in search of alternate options to driving to The Spit.
Member for Gaven Meaghan Scanlon stated The Spit was a vacation spot for locals and vacationers and notes “whether or not it’s strolling your canine, going for a swim or having a household bbq, The Spit has one thing for everybody.
“Importantly, these services had been delivered by two native Gold Coast corporations, Hazell Brothers and Place Design Group, producing greater than 20 jobs.”
The subsequent part of The Spit Grasp Plan Implementation is progressing, with a contract for the design work on a pontoon and jetty on the northern finish of Marine Stadium being awarded to GHD.
Development is because of begin mid-year on the $4 million jetty and pontoon.
Gold Coast Waterways Authority Chief Government, Hal Morris stated it’s thrilling to see The Spit Grasp Plan come to life.
